Sorry for my Absence

I know I only blog sporadically these days, but it's been nearly two months since my last entry.

Now, first and foremost is a tribute to my late father, who died far before his time.

Next are the photos from my recent trips - to Paris, France and Nevis, West Indies. What a wonderful time we had - and oh how I needed that joy to remember in the days that followed our return and I learned of my father's passing.

Next we flew to Nevis, a wondrous tropical paradise:

We had an amazing six days, jet skiing, snorkeling, sun bathing, getting massages, eating wonderful food, and enjoying the delightful hospitality of the Nevis Four Seasons.

My Birthday, 2012

A little different

So, my feet were not happy after running around town in those blue and white heels, so before going out this afternoon I changed my hair and put on some flats. I think it changes the feel of the whole outfit.

Stylish or a Sack?

I found this adorable little comfy dress last week and have been looking forward to wearing it. Luckily the weather has continued to stay nice since yesterday, and so I may wear my new treasured find. (I also had to wait until my husband was out of town on business because when I first tried it on for him he said "Nice concept, but it looks like a sack.")

I'm Baaaaack!

My husband and I got a new Canon camera, which we took to the park and took some photos with on an absolutely perfect autumn day.

It started getting windy and I almost had a "Marilyn" moment :)

Do Blondes Indeed Have More Fun?

So, I'm been considering dying my hair blonde for some time now. Both of my best friends are blonde, even my mom is blonde. And, truth be told, once in the way back machine (and I mean way way back), I dyed my hair blonde, and it looked amazing!!! (until the roots grew back in and my poor younger self couldn't afford the upkeep.

But now I find myself at a place in life where I have both the time and resources to maintain a change to blonde, or blue, or purple, or any dang color I choose, if any at all (except red, that was done with rather disastrous results.)

So, it's up to you, dear readers, what's your opinion? Should I go blonde, or stay my brunette self? I've taken some photos today with a blonde wig. (and is it just me, or do my boobs seriously look bigger today?! wow - Blonde is powerful stuff!!!)

Pretty as a Doll

My Sister-in-Law said that I looked pretty as a doll today, which I thought was a very sweet thing for her to say. (she also gave me a rockin' coat she found, so that was awesome too!). We took photos outside today, and I must say, I quite like the results. Perhaps I'll have to venture out for more outdoor locations :)

Mr. Not-in-Pajamas gave me a beautiful necklace last night. Isn't it lovely?
