The sun has arrived! Perhaps my poem from yesterday worked?!

I was feeling a bit wild but also fastidious today, and I think my outfit shows the dichotomy. But I like it. :)

I wore green in honor of St. Patty's day. And I wrote a little poem about the current weather in my part of midwestopia:

Gloom, gloom, go away,
Don't come back another day.
Rain, Rain, ruining my hair,
I want to wear spring clothes out there!
Grey, Grey, makes me sad,
Come on Sunshine! Make me glad.

Snow Boots

It's been snowing here, as most of the midwest and east coast have experienced. Luckily I have these awesome white snow boots to keep me warm and safe on the icy concrete.

A Splash of Color

I found this skirt yesterday while thrifting. Isn't it great?! I just love the pattern and the color. I really wanted to make it stand out by wearing all black with it.

Waiting for the Snow to Melt

It's been a rough winter here so far in midwestopia. It's hard to stay positive when it's so cold and dreary. At least today the sun came out - Yay! Maybe it will melt some of the snow away (that has been here since Christmas).

Greetings from the Birthday Princess: Happy 2010!

In addition to being New Year's Day, today also happens to be my birthday (I'm 29, again, in case you were wondering ;) ). Why am I wearing a tiara, with leopard print, denim, and cowboy boots (Hey Becky from Pump up the Frump - I finally found some!!!)? Because it's New Year's and it's my Birthday and so I can do whatever I want - and apparently I want this! It's good to be princess for a day :)

Empire Waists

Well, I've had the opinion of three (straight) men that say when they see an empire waisted shirt they immediately think the woman wearing it is pregnant. Now, I've talked with women who feel exactly the opposite - that empire waists are a great way to show off the "girls". So, what do you think? Empire Waist - good or bad?

So, okay... full disclosure... I went to Vickie's Secret and picked up two of those new push-ups that are suppose to boost you two whole cup sizes. Well, here I am in it, clearly larger than I am in real life ("they look inflatable" was what my husband said when he saw them). So, what do you think? Too much?

Casual Day
