My Birthday, 2012

So, as many of you may remember from years past, today is my birthday. Though I've spent the day lounging and watching football, I still like to look pretty, especially today. Here is what I've worn today:

The loss of an old friend.....

I have loved this suit for a long time now, ever since I picked it out of the Newport News catalog. But today, shortly after the photos were taken, I took off the skirt to try on another one and when I went to put my skirt back on the zipper broke. Nothing that a good seamstress can't fix, but I know myself and I'm notoriously bad for getting that kind of stuff done.

Anyhow, here is my retro look today, complete with veiled hat and white kidskin gloves.
