Besame Cosmetics Review: Limited Edition chiffon scarf by Kenley Collins and Kenley Red lipstick

I received my limited-edition Besame Cosmetics designer collection Kenley Collins chiffon scarf and Kenly Red lipstick yesterday. Besame has a relationship with Amazon, so two day shipping was free. This limited edition chiffon scarf and lipstick set is of wonderful quality. The lipstick goes on like soft butter and has good staying power. The scarf is just as cute as can be. At 30ish dollars for the set I think this is a steal, as Besame Lipsticks by themselves cost around 22$. I've also worked with their customer service, and found them to be friendly and professional. I will absolutely purchase more from this great line of cosmetics.

Review: Sigma Spa Brush Cleaning Glove

I have been wanting this washing glove for a while, but kept putting it off for other things, thinking I didn't really need a dubus for cleaning my brushes - I'd been doing fine with the ol' soap and scrub for this long. Now that I have it, however, I cannot say enough good things about it. The first and maybe most important thing it does is it gives you much cleaner brushes in much less time than it would take with traditional routines. It is very comfortable as it has a terrycloth inset inside the gloves so you're not actually touching the plastic with your hand while wearing the glove.

Second, it has two sides: one for face brushes and one for your eye brushes. I find that lip brushes can be used on the eye brush side as well with good results.

How to use: it's a very simple process really. The instructions are clearly labeled on the glove itself. First you dampen your brush then use clock they brush cleanser and then you use the wash part of the glove discredit back-and-forth gently until I good amount of the pigment has come off your brush. You then use the rents part of your brush to do exactly as it sounds you rinse your brush under the water with the glove. The third part of the process is the Refine part of cleaning. This area of the brush has much smaller bristles. This really gets into the nooks and crannies of your brush and makes it very clean. One last rinse and then you pull it through the thumb and forefinger area to pull out as much water as possible and reshape your brush. And... you're done.

I found that most brushes that I clean once a week just for my personal use took only one wash to get clean. Some, like my foundation brushes, did take more than one cleaning and so did my blush brush.   All in all it took me about 20 minutes to wash all my Sigma brushes.

Keep an eye out for my next review: The Sigma Dry'N Shape, which promises to dry your brushes in a mere 4 - 6 hours!

Sorry for my Absence

I know I only blog sporadically these days, but it's been nearly two months since my last entry.

Now, first and foremost is a tribute to my late father, who died far before his time.

Next are the photos from my recent trips - to Paris, France and Nevis, West Indies. What a wonderful time we had - and oh how I needed that joy to remember in the days that followed our return and I learned of my father's passing.
Paris, France

Next we flew to Nevis, a wondrous tropical paradise:

We had an amazing six days, jet skiing, snorkeling, sun bathing, getting massages, eating wonderful food, and enjoying the delightful hospitality of the Nevis Four Seasons.

That's all for now, but I'll get back to blogging my newly acquired fabulous hand-made dresses from my friends at Pinup Revival. What amazing ladies!

Sinister

This haircut gives me a subtle sinister air, if I wear the right clothes and makeup. I feel like an evil queen, or Morgana, or some powerful dark enchantress. I'm a wicked city woman to the hilt today.

Jamison better be on his game tonight when I pick him up at the airport - this kitty's got claws!
